Harveer Yeates, MA, LMHCA (they/them)
Welcome to Seahorse Therapy, I’m so glad you’ve found your way here.
I am a therapist who works with toddlers, children, teens, and young adults. As a bilingual clinician, I provide therapy in English and Punjabi. Over the past 14 years, I have supported clients in all levels of mental health care in early childhood programs, homes, schools, and in the community. I use CBT and DBT with a trauma-informed lens. I provide treatment in areas such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, identity exploration, and life transitions. I work with caregivers to support their child at home, school, and in developing independent living skills.
Personally, I hold intersectional identities, such as being BIPOC, queer, and having diverse visual abilities. Similarly, my clients have varying identities, such as being BIPOC, LGBTQIA2S+, and Neurodivergent, as well as those who experience chronic pain or illness and have diverse physical dis/abilities, such as being on the spectrum of blindness.
In my practice, I acknowledge the role identity, lived experience and systemic injustice plays in client’s lives.
I believe in utilizing a collaborative approach with my clients to ensure they are heard and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives.
I look forward to connecting with you for a free 30 minute consultation.
Take Care,
Harveer
