Jill Suresh, LSWAIC (she/her)
I provide therapy for individuals ages 5-25. My approach is to meet clients in an inclusive and warm environment that is affirming of all identities, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive. My areas of focus are anxiety, depression, trauma, behavior, and neurodiversity/ADHD/ASD.
I have a background of 20 years in the K-12 public education setting as a teacher and professional development coach on Seattle’s Eastside. There I worked to create equitable learning environments for culturally, linguistically, and neurologically diverse students and families. I have a masters in both Teaching English as a Secondary Language (TESL) and Clinical Social Work (MSW). I also have experience working with school Independent Education Program (IEP) and 504 teams to create appropriate goals and accommodations for students’ individual needs.
I utilize aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT+), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family System (IFS), along with somatic and mindfulness strategies to create therapeutical goals to meet the needs of clients and families. Together we develop new skills and strategies to build on strengths, so clients know and appreciate who they are and have healthy ways to live life to the fullest.
In my free time I enjoy reading fantasy novels, watching British tv, learning Spanish, and going for walks with my dog in nature.
