Lauren Osborne, MA, LMHCA (she/her)

Lauren is a licensed mental health counselor associate serving adolescent and adult individuals in Washington. Lauren's approach is rooted in evidence-based practices and draws upon various therapeutic theories, including existential and attachment theories, DBT, and expressive arts therapies. Utilizing these powerful tools, alongside trauma-informed care, she empowers clients to redefine their identities independently, forge new connections, and overcome the issues commonly associated with leaving high-control religious groups.

As an ex-Jehovah's Witness herself, Lauren understands the unique challenges faced by those who have left restrictive religious environments. Her expertise provides a safe and nurturing space where clients can work through and process their religious trauma, including the difficult experiences of cut-off and shunning.

Recognizing that recovering from religion or embarking on a new faith journey is a profound and ongoing process, Lauren is committed to walking alongside you on your path of self-discovery. She provides the knowledge, experience, and support you need to safely navigate this transformative journey and develop essential coping skills to help you thrive in your new life, whether you choose atheism, spirituality, or a different faith system.

In Lauren's therapy practice, inclusivity is paramount. LGBTQIA+ individuals are welcomed, embraced, and supported in this nurturing space. Your unique experiences and perspectives are respected and celebrated as integral parts of your healing and personal fulfillment journey.

Lauren understands that this population faces specific trauma within Christian Fundamentalism, and is here to support you through your recovery journey.
